Episode Synopsis "Listen: Life at the Air Force Academy with Billy Christopoulos "
Billy Christopoulos is not your average professional hockey player. He’s not your average Air Force Academy graduate either for that matter. The Raleigh, North Carolina native graduated from the Academy last spring, but he is not engaging in the traditional service that the rest of his classmates are entrenched in. As part of the World Class Athlete Program (WCAP), Billy has the opportunity to play professional hockey for the ECHL’s South Carolina Stingrays, as he hopes to compete for a roster spot on Team USA at the 2022 Olympics. We loved hearing tidbits about attending the Academy, like the fact that all 4,000 cadets eat lunch together family-style and also enjoyed learning about Billy’s journey from Raleigh to Des Moines to Colorado Springs. Billy also answered subscriber questions, providing a detailed explanation of the program and explaining how he juggled school and athletics at Air Force. Huge thanks to Billy for his service to our country - we hope you enjoy the recording of this special Veteran’s Day conference call. This is a public episode.
