Values seem like they would be subjective but in an attempt to make them objective, what if they were ranked? Suppose Value 6 is less important than Value 5. A Value hierarchy is obviously fraught with ambiguity: for example, what’s the order of life, liberty & property? Reading the Preamble of the Constitution, in America as it was established, all values are subservient to a fundamental value: liberty, which would be Value 0. Still, our liberty is bounded by responsibility and the liberty of others, so we give up some of our personal liberty in exchange for others giving up some of theirs for us.

Unfortunately, the Lockdowns proved that many of America's leaders do not have liberty as Value 0: they seem to be using the socialist ideal of the Greater Good? How did Greater Good become Value 0 for so many people? It’s not in legal doctrine, we had religion for centuries and liberty was still Value 0, so that only leaves public education: socialist indoctrination of a new Value 0 came from the State. And how did that happen? How did politicians swap out Value 0, especially when the judiciary was supposed to be keeping watch on our liberty? Because liberty allows people to choose something else as Value 0 if they want, and democracy made it happen, so democracy has become the real Value 0 and it’s not even mentioned in The Constitution.
