1. When there's absolutely zero to be sorry about.
2. Defensive, sarcastic... "I'm sorry YOU feel that way." (unspoken, not sorry, my ego is more important)
3. Genuine, heartfelt, "I messed up, I'm sorry, and here's how I'll do better."
