Listen "Pause, Reset, and Maybe Clap"
Episode Synopsis
When recording an episode, you are going to eventually stumble over your words and get tongue-tied. It happens to everyone. Don’t stop recording and start over. This will cost you valuable time and if you were to start over at every mistake, you may never complete a season. Instead, when you make a mistake, pause for 3 to 5 seconds, then restart where you had left off. When editing the episode, you can cut out the mistake as well as the excess time between speaking moments. If you want to make it easy to find these mistakes in your audio, take a slightly longer pause and clap your hands loudly near the microphone. Then, when editing you can look for the visual sound spike to jump directly to the audio that needs to be cut.
