When a guest comes on your show, one of the goals you should have is for them to cross-promote the episode through their social media channels. Creating a marketing package is very helpful in making this happen. You can deliver this to your guest post-interview, once you’ve completed production of the episode, via email. Share the episode, the podcast episode cover, a digital soundbite, an episode player if you have one available, and the social posts you’ll be sharing and when they’ll be published. Don’t forget to include your social media handles in the email. Recommend to your guest when they should share out the episode. We typically ask a guest to share a week after we’ve done so to gain maximum reach.
