The seven brothers and their mother in 2 Maccabees show unwavering commitment to God even in the face of death. Jesus’ parable of the talents reminds us that the Kingdom of God requires us to actively use the gifts He entrusts to us.MAIN POINT: Faithfulness Requires Active Stewardship (Luke 19:11–28; 2 Macc 7:1, 20–31).God entrusts each of us with gifts time, talent, resources, and faith.
