On Saturday, June 22, 2024, Pilipinx in Wellness was invited by Intuitive Energy Healer, Reiki Master, Sound Healer, Spiritual Life Coach and Child Life Specialist, Anne Esperanzate in collaboration with the Kubo Organizing Project held at Kubo Long Beach from 11am-3pm. Kapwa was an event that featured Filipinx healers, readers, and wellness practitioners. It opened with a Sound Bath & Ancestral Meditation led by Anne Esperanzate, Iza Ballesteros and Corinne St. Claire. Amongst those who participated included: candles sold by @luyahealing , bodywork provided by @SoulutionTherapy, hilot and stretching through @Layuuhhh and oracle readings by @rockdovewellness. The purpose of the event was to gather community to learn and tap into the alternative holistic and indigenous healing modalities that support the spiritual and wellness journeys of Filipinx American identities.
