Listen "Love is the Measure"
Episode Synopsis
On Sunday, May 5, 2024, Steve Schumm spoke on the topic of "Love is the Measure". Specifically, Steve challenges the notion that God exists only inside churches, and for church activities. Instead, he brings up various acts of love outside church settings—be it tent cities in homeless camps, houses with members carrying HIV, or student care stations in universities—and these are the places where God is at work. To love one another is not simply a feels-good suggestion to ponder about on Sunday mornings. It is instead the new Commandment sent by God through Jesus, and is what determines whether one acts in accordance to God's will. [JL]
The hybrid service was held at Menno Court (1750 E. 41st Ave., Vancouver) and streamed on Zoom.
