Listen "Welcome A Photographic Memory"

Episode Synopsis

Photographic memory is the ability to close the eyes and ‘see’ in the minds eye an image or object just as clearly as if a photograph had been taken, even days or weeks after the event.
‘Eidetic memory (/aɪˈdɛtɪk/ eye-DET-ik😉 is commonly called photographic memory. It is an ability to recall an image from memory after seeing it only once, with high precision for a brief time afterward. Although the terms eidetic memory and photographic memory are popularly used interchangeably, they can be distinguished. Eidetic memory refers to the ability to view memories like photographs for a short time, while photographic memory refers to the ability to recall pages of text or numbers, or similar, in great detail for longer’, according to Wikipedia.
Eidetic memory is controlled primarily by the posterior parietal cortex of the parietal lobe of the brain. This is the part of the brain through which visual stimuli are processed, and images retained. Most people have an eidetic memory as children, then the ability fades to the point where it only lasts for a few seconds.
