Today we welcome former Indiana Poet Laureate, Shari Wagner who joins us to share her nature-rich persona poetry for the 17th episode of Off The Bricks! Wagner brings inspiration from her experience in rural communities and her time in Africa as a child together in her poetry while also incorporating fact-based research. Wagner, who has an MFA in creative writing from Indiana University, spent her time as Poet Laureate focused on drawing inspiration from nature and the parks. Today’s poetry came from her publications, The Farm Wife's Almanac, The Harmonist At Nightfall: Poems of Indiana, and Evening Chore.
