The Kobayashi Maru is a training exercise from Star Trek, designed as a no-win scenario for Starfleet Academy cadets. Ultimately, it's a test of character and decision-making under pressure, rather than a test of combat prowess. James T. Kirk famously cheated by reprogramming the simulation to give him a chance of success.
