Listen "Our Second Beatles Movie Night - The Beatles: The First U.S. Visit"
Episode Synopsis
For our second "Beatles Movie Night", Joe & Chris discuss Albert & David Maysles classic documentary "The Beatles: The First U.S. Visit". Originally released in 1964 as "What's Happening: The Beatles in the USA", the film follows the lads on their first trip to the U.S. as they perform on the Ed Sullivan Show, travel to their first U.S. concert in Washington D.C., and then travel down to Miami, Florida for another performance on the Sullivan program. We take an in depth look at this groundbreaking documentary, share insights from one of the filmmakers, and discuss the influence it had on Richard Lester's "A Hard Day's Night".
