Episode Synopsis
In this episode I speak with BC Child and Youth representative Jennifer Charleston after the province's announcement that is eliminated tha practice of birth alerts. I then follow that conversation up with a chat with APTN Reporter Melissa Ridgen who has been following a story here in Kamloops. Baby H was taken from her parents in June, just 90 minutes after her mother had a c-section. Melissa has been in contact with the family over the course of that time and she provides an update on what is happening. Also, I speak with Thompson Rivers University President Brett Fairbairn about Envision TRU, a process that he is undertaking to plan for the school's next 10 years. And then to end things off I get reaction from United Steelworkers Union Local 1-417 president Marty Gibbons after the province announced $69 million in support for forestry workers.
