The Church: the vast network of God’s family reaching across the globe and all timeTHE GLORIOUS BODY: WE ARE DESTINED FOR ETERNAL GLORY If those are our only thoughts we think about when we think about heaven then we won’t think of it often and when we do - the excitement won’t be lasting. WE ARE DESTINED FOR ETERNAL GLORY Revelation was written by John to the church then and now, giving us hope by showing us that Christ reigns and final victory is assured. 9 I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all the tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; 10 and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” 11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying, “Amen, blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might belong to our God forever and ever. For indeed, in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven. - 2 Corinthians 5:1–2  Therefore, if you have been raised with Christ, keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth. - Colossians 3:1–2  Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer person is decaying, yet our inner person is being renewed day by day.
