Mark 5:21-34 (ESV)



1. Share with the group an “It’s not fair!” scenario that you’ve experienced. What made this “not fair?”
2. How was Jesus not helping Jairus’s daughter an “it’s not fair” scenario? Explain.
3. Step into the sandals of Jairus. How would you have felt if Jesus ignored your immediate need to help another person instead? How might this relate to the Christian life? Have you ever had to wait on the Lord’s timing for prayers to be answered?
4. Why does Mark pair these two stories together? What is he trying to teach us about who God is toward us? Pray together.
