Listen "Kingdom Reversals: The Sermon on the Mount | Stormproofed, Matthew 7:24-29"
Episode Synopsis
Stormproofed brings the series to its climactic end as Jesus contrasts two builders whose foundations are revealed only when the storm arrives. Preaching from Matthew 7:24–29, Pastor Piero shows that Jesus is not offering a therapeutic metaphor for personal hardship, but an eschatological warning that exposes the difference between admiration and allegiance. Both builders hear Jesus’ words, but only one embodies them through a life rooted in the hidden foundation of knowing Christ rather than performing for God or others. Drawing from Ezekiel 13 and Ephesians 2, the sermon challenges us to examine what our lives are actually built on, to reject the temptation to whitewash our spirituality with outward works, and to remember that only the Spirit can build us on the true Rock, Christ Himself.
