Listen "Kingdom Reversals: The Sermon on the Mount | Pearls, More Precious than Logs, Matthew 7:1-6"
Episode Synopsis
In this message, pastor Piero continues our Kingdom Reversals series as Jesus turns from our relationship with possessions to our relationship with people. Through the vivid imagery of logs, specks, and pearls, Jesus exposes how self-righteousness blinds us from seeing others with mercy. We are invited to examine the measure we use—are we living by performance or by grace? To remove the log of self-importance that distorts our vision. And to discern how to steward the pearls of God’s kingdom with wisdom and love. This passage calls us to trade our illusion of control for the mercy of Christ, to see others not as projects to fix but as brothers and sisters to restore. The Kingdom’s reversal is clear: what the world calls sacrifice and strength, Jesus calls blindness; what the world overlooks as weakness and mercy, He calls vision and treasure. What do I value more—the log or the pearls? How is the Holy Spirit inviting me to steward the treasures of God’s kingdom with grace and discernment today?
