Listen "Led By The Holy Spirit - Episode 4 - Led To Believe"
Episode Synopsis
*Special live preaching episode*
The one role of the Holy Spirit is to fill us with boldness. Do you another word for boldness? Confidence. The Holy Spirit fills us with confidence to believe that with God all things are possible. He fills us with boldness that transforms how we act, how we pray, and how we believe. When that happens, we are filled with fresh power that flows through us.
Imagine a scenario where two boys have a disagreement, but one is much smaller. The larger boy is threatening the smaller one and the smaller one is asking him to stop. There isn’t much power in the voice of the little boy. Now imagine his much bigger, older brother shows up and stands next to him. That same little boy can say the same words he was saying before, but there’s new power in them, isn’t there? Why? It’s because his words have now been filled with boldness because of his brother.
This is how the Holy Spirit works. He reminds us that no enemy we face, no situation we go through, and no problem we encounter is bigger than God is. The Holy Spirit functions like that older brother. He fills us with confidence that we have back-up that is big enough to deal with what we are facing. We are to pray with at least as much confidence as that little joy next to his older brother.
Have you ever prayed for something while believing with everything you had? How much more powerful was that kind of prayer? In this final episode of the series, we’re going to look at a kind of prayer you might not have heard much about, but it’s going to change your prayer life when you understand it.
