Listen "Curiosity Killed The Cat"
Episode Synopsis
In our latest episode, "Curiosity Killed The Cat," Walker and I dive deep into the impact that shame and limited curiosity had on us growing up.
We share personal stories about our struggles with perfectionism, fear of failure, and how cultural and professional expectations can sometimes hinder our natural curiosity. I even confess to a childhood memory where my curiosity got me into some hot water with a flushed washcloth!
But more importantly, we discuss how vital it is to nurture and encourage curiosity in ourselves and in children. When we reflect on how our own curiosity was supported or discouraged growing up, it gives us valuable insight into our adult behaviors and fears around trying new things.
Walker and I both agree that we want to live our lives with less fear and anxiety holding us back from pursuing our dreams and engaging in new experiences. That's why we're so excited to announce our upcoming retreat in November, where we'll focus on reigniting our curiosity, self-growth, and compassion.
So join us on this journey of self-discovery and embracing our complex nature. Remember, curiosity may have killed the cat, but it's what keeps us truly alive and thriving!
