Listen "musical revue"
Episode Synopsis
Apparently and accidentally it's a tradition now: Our third review of musical selections in as many years. We mostly use this as an excuse to share some tracks and stories of how we relate to them, but also some cutting edge new recommendations from one album that is only days old, as well as one that's 5 decades old. And a lot in between.
This also made for a playlist for the road trip for Reed's move back to Oregon, and in the process we got to reconsider some of our characterizations of these songs. Jensen McRae isn't really light or upbeat and Ray LaMontagne isn't bluegrass at all; though you might forgive us for trying to use those descriptions here. We also tried to count along with Dave Brubeck. You'll understand once you listen to the podcast. You can listen along to full tracks here.
