In Acts 16 we see the gospel break into the lives of three very different people: a wealthy businesswoman, a slave girl, and a Roman jailer. In a culture where some Jewish men prayed, “Thank you, Lord, that I am not a Gentile, a slave, or a woman,” the Spirit of God made sure the good news touched each of those very groups. It’s a beautiful reminder that Jesus is for everyone—no matter your background, failures, status, or doubts. Just as Paul and his companions learned to keep stepping forward, trusting the Spirit to guide them to where God was at work, we’re invited to do the same. The good news is that salvation isn’t something we achieve; it’s a gift freely given. And Jesus is still meeting people today—breaking chains, healing hearts, and drawing people from every walk of life into His family.
