In today’s episode we discuss general strategies to address severe problem behavior such as aggression and self injurious behavior. We discuss identifying the function of the behavior, teaching replacement behaviors, and the importance of learning calming and coping strategies. We discuss how to handle these behaviors as a parent with antecedent interventions and identifying appropriate consequences if needed for these behaviors.
