Listen "The Real Black History Of Women "
Episode Synopsis
In honor of Black History Month, we explore the experiences of black women in America. Unfortunately, black history has been white-washed. We dig into the importance of knowing our real history, and how the false narratives have impacted us over the years. We sit down with Dr. Veronica Newton professor of Sociology and African American studies to discuss these experiences. We talk about why has black history been white-washed, European social constructs, stereotypes of black women, and debunking some myths that we have been told. This conversation is so important for us all. Knowing where you come from, helps you to know where you are, and where you are going. You don’t want to miss this one.
