Isn’t it funny how we’re always waiting for something to happen? A big break, a lottery win, or that one thing that will finally make us happy. We get so caught up in the daily grind—getting dressed, going to work, and ticking off a to-do list—that we completely forget the biggest, most incredible thing of all. You've already won. The simple, beautiful, and absolutely miraculous fact that you exist is the greatest prize of all.
Imagine a line of souls waiting for a chance to be born, to experience this crazy, wonderful show we call Earth. We are the lucky ones who got tickets to the front row. This whole thing is a massive theme park, a spectacular concert, and a beautiful play all rolled into one. And with our ticket, we get to taste, touch, feel, and explore every single bit of it. We have the privilege to walk around on this tiny rock and leave our footsteps. It's a miracle, and it's so easy to forget.
Of course, with existence comes a bit of suffering—a stubbed toe, a broken heart. But that’s just part of the price of admission. The whole enchilada, the entire show, is for us to experience. We can’t just push away the painful parts; we have to embrace all of it. Because when we do, we stop begging the world to give us happiness. Instead, we find joy in the gift of being alive and become a channel for that happiness to flow into the world. When you're happy first, your relationships, your work, and your life will all become expressions of that joy.
So, let's stop checking things off the list and start appreciating the gift of being alive. Because when you do, everything changes.
