Episode Synopsis

Erin Carroll is a professor of law and legal practice at Georgetown Law. Her teaching and research interests lie at the intersection of legal analysis and communication, rhetoric, the free press, and technology. A journalist before becoming a lawyer, Carroll assesses how law can help reinvigorate and reimagine the press such that journalists and journalism can better serve democracy. Carroll also serves as the chair of the Association of American Law Schools’ Section on Communication, Media, and Information Law.
