Just as chemical mixtures and compounds behave in particular ways, so do halachik mixtures. These include mixtures of kosher and non-kosher foods. We identify the three principles of mixtures discussed on this daf: blending, concentration and flavor. We discuss the rule - Ta'am Ke'ikkar - the flavor of a food-type follows the root product from which it draws.
