A behind the scenes radio documentary about the making of the Enfield Peoples Theatre production of Bread and Roses. The play focuses on the 1915 Edmonton Rent Strike and community action led by (and won) by women during World War 1. However, it draws comparisons with the current housing crisis and the issues of homelessness.This podcast is part of the Untold Edmonton podcasts, we trained local residents in podcasting skills and supported them to produce podcast heritage stories about Edmonton. This project was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and supported by the London Borough of Enfield. Maroon Community Media is a community interest company focused on developing digital media production skills for all.
