Episode Synopsis
Supporting Meditation Practice with Ethically-Sourced Mats
Vishangka, Candradipa and Paranayaka with the new mats in the Lotus Hall
Anandamoksha, our volunteer bookshop and reception manager, has quite a wide-ranging role! He’s recently been overseeing the arrival of a hundred brand new meditation mats for our two shrine rooms. Anandamoksha says:
These mats are here to replace the ones we’ve had for many years – and we think you’ll really notice the difference. They’re thicker, softer, and far more comfortable, offering more support for your practice.
The new mats are the result of a project I’ve been quietly working on for several months. I spent time researching suppliers, testing samples, and negotiating on price – all while making sure the company we chose used ethical practices and sustainable materials. We’re really pleased that our final choice met all of our criteria and was able to make the mats to our specifications.
All of us on the Centre Team are thrilled to see them in place. It’s a significant investment in something right at the heart of what we do – and a small but meaningful way to support everyone who comes through our doors.
We hope you enjoy using them the next time you’re here. May they support many moments of stillness, presence and connection in the shrine rooms we all love so much.
