Not just a Sober Bar
One year ago, Hinterland opened its doors beneath the Buddhist Centre with a dream, a lot of repurposed wood, and a vision for doing things differently. What started as a bold idea has become a warm, welcoming space for connection in the heart of Manchester.
More than just a vegan café and alcohol-free bar, it has become a gathering place for anyone yearning for something real – a community rooted in wisdom, imagination and friendship.
Events and Chats
From open mics and poetry nights to philosophy evenings and chats over coffee, it’s been a beautiful experiment in what it means to come together. There will be summer celebrations, the unveiling of a new portrait series of our extended community, and many more great events coming up.
Come and raise a glass with the Hinterland team – we’re just getting started.
