Listen "Researching Swedish football: A conversation with Katarzyna Herd"
Episode Synopsis
Studying ethnology can allow students to pursue a host of different topics, and today we speak to Katarzyna Herd, one of Lund University's researchers and senior lecturers in the Division of Ethnology, about her particular research interest in sports, from Swedish football to international research into phenomena like sportswashing. Host Rebecca van der Steen (LU International Office) interviews Kasia about her background and journey to teaching at Lund University, how she came to be interested specifically in sporting culture, and her writings on the topic of sportswashing. Kasia, who is also the programme coordinator for the international Master's programme in Applied Cultural Analysis, also details her thoughts on why Lund and Sweden are good choices for students seeking to study ethnology.
