Listen "Barriers to the Beach: Part One, 35 Years of ADA – Who are the Beaches for?"
Episode Synopsis
Cape Cod’s crown jewels, it's beaches, attract millions of visitors to the Cape every year. However, these waters are just out of reach for many would-be-beach-goers who are unable to enjoy this core piece of the Cape. As the Americans With Disabilities Act turns 35 years this July we, a group of reporters, set out in the height of Cape Cod’s humid summer season, to look into who can actually access these profitable recreational pleasures. This is the first episode in our ongoing reporting series Barriers To The Beach.
