The body holds unprocessed emotions, energies and traumas from past experiences, which is often referred to as the 'pain body.' These emotions and energies bubble up whenever the system gets triggered, in an attempt to process and heal itself. When there is an understanding of what is happening and how to deal with this, there is the capacity to work together with the system to support it to heal and release these energies.
The process can be summed up in 3 simple steps:
1. Bring your attention fully present into the now.
2. Disidentify from the conceptual self. Enquire, 'who or what am I?' This will lead to the recognition that 'I' am Awareness, (not the body, mind or any experience). Don't give attention to or identify with any thought.
3. Consciously feel the sensations in the body, without any agenda, and without labelling the experience or attaching any story to it. Totally and completely accept the experience as it is. The key is UNCONDITIONALITY!
