There is no such thing as hate-speech because hate has no objective existence, it is an emotion. Imagine a speaker calls for the murder of Christians and another speaker calls for the culling of geese. One phrase is considered hate speech and the other is an issue of property rights. Both are calls to action leading to death. The statements are grammatically the same and contain identical information. What is different is our reaction to the subject. Our reaction is entirely dependent on our relationship to the subject. There is a better way to understand hate and a better way to deal with it.
