Big Ten football season is here for Nebraska. And not a moment too soon after Matt Rhule’s Huskers dispatched Houston Christian 59-7 on Saturday at Memorial Stadium. The football game felt like something of an undercard ahead of the big event that involved Nebraska on Saturday night in Las Vegas. Rhule was there at Allegiant Stadium – and so was AD Troy Dannen – to see Terence “Bud” Crawford beat Canelo Alvarez in a unanimous decision. What a moment for Crawford and his favorite football program, whose players and coaches sent him plenty of love back in Lincoln earlier in the day.
