The Philadelphia 76ers opened their 2024-2025 season shorthanded and took a 124-109 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. With Joel Embiid and Paul George both unavailable the Sixers needed Tyrese Maxey to have the game of his life to beat this Bucks team. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Maxey scored 25 points on 10-31 shooting. Kelly Oubre was second on the team in scoring with 21 points. The 76ers were able to hang with the Bucks in the through the first quarter and a half, but midway through the 2nd quarter the Bicks went on a 12-4 run and never looked back. Milwaukee went on to outscore the Sixers by 20 points in the 2nd and 3rd quarters combined.
