Today in episode 27, I interview ex Australian ultra-runner and current marathon course measurer, Don Wallace. Don’s completion of a handful of the South African comrades marathon events, speak for themselves. Not only has he finished the event multiple times representing Australia, but has recorded a PB over the two-way hilly 89km course of 5:42 up, and 5:47 down. That’s sub 4minute km pace over serious hills for one quarter of a 24 hour day. Therefore in this interview it’s no surprise that Don talks passionately at length and detail about the historic event and lastly, about his experience as a marathon course measurer around the country.
