Every time I ask people what body part they want to improve, it’s always their abs. Or in other words, they want to lose belly fat. Well guess what?
If I haven’t already given you enough health incentives to eat your vegetables maybe this tip will finally give you that kick in the booty.
Eating certain types of vegetables can actually help kill your belly fat.

A while back, I filmed a Live Lean TV episode about estrogenic chemicals found in skincare products, our food supply, and the environment, that can make you store belly fat.
These estrogenic toxic chemicals include pesticides, herbicides, and petrochemicals. These chemicals are now found in our food, our water, the air, and everyday products that we use.
These estrogenic chemicals are referred to as xenoestrogens.
Xenoestrogens are commonly found in:
- Household cleaners
- Skincare and cosmetics
- Plastics
As you can tell, we’re exposed to these chemicals every single day.
Excessive exposure to xenoestrogens can cause an estrogenic effect on your body, causing a hormonal imbalance for both males and females. This hormonal imbalance can then make you store belly fat.
However, there are certain types of super vegetables that kill belly fat.
6 vegetables that kill belly fat:
These special vegetables contain specific phytonutrients, called I3C, that helps stop these estrogenic belly fat stimulating compounds.
These belly fat killing vegetables are called cruciferous vegetables.
Cruciferous vegetables include:
- Bok choy
- Broccoli
- Brussel sprouts
- Cabbage
- Cauliflower
- Kale
