Listen "Studying to Learn"
Episode Synopsis
In this solo episode of Linda's Life Lessons, Linda explains that many students get to college with the wrong idea of what learning is and how that keeps them from being successful.
She details how your study habits can drag your grade down over the semester, frustrate you and cause test anxiety.
She then lays the foundation on how to change your study habits and approach to learning so that it doesn't involve cramming or memorization or any of the frustration and anxiety that comes with it.
She discusses how to move away from just being familiar with concepts and how to get to problem solving and critical thinking, the #1 thing employers tell professors they want more of in students.
She makes the case for why you don't need to study harder, you just needs to apply yourself to the right things.
Call to Action: In this episode, Linda asks you think about your approach to learning and be open to making some changes.
