Here we go once again arguing over the branches and the leaves and completely dismissing the root. If you want to diminish nonfatal gun injuries, fatal gun violence, and accidental occurrences of both, then we must have real conversations about the socioeconomic policies that have decimated targeted pockets of our populace, our diseased culture that encourages family breakdown, mental health, and proper firearm training. We also need to have open dialogue on harsher punishments for criminals choosing gun violence instead of punishing the law abiding for the actions of the unlawful.
