Episode Synopsis

Another week, another Hunter Biden Story. This time, it's the DOJ trying to send Hunter's former business partner, Devon Archer to prison just in time to not testify in from of the House Oversight Committee. The DOJ has since thought twice about keeping Archer from testifying in such an obvious way. Archer is expected to give testimony in front of Congress that could not only further incriminate Hunter, but Joe Biden as well.
This past week a "sweetheart" deal that would have kept Hunter out of jail and facing any significant penalty fell through when the DOJ prosecutors had to admit in front of the judge that the investigations in to alleged FARA violations would not cease under the terms of the plea deal. That's not what Hunter Biden and his lawyers were thinking. They thought that ALL investigations into Hunters alleged crimes would cease in perpetuity. The DOJ has been able to duck questions about alleged Biden family crimes by saying the "matter is subject to an ongoing investigation. They were hoping to be able to drop the investigations and let Hunter go with a virtual slap on the wrist.
What does this all mean for the election going forward? The Democrats could allow Biden to be impeached an removed but that would make Kevin McCarthy, Speaker of the House the Vice President, same if the 25th Amendment him. They really don't want to face Donald Trump in the general election, and they really don't want Joe Biden to face him. If they can't force Trump out of the race, then they will have to politely but forcefully request Biden get out of the race to make room for someone like Gavin Newsome to run, while still controlling the VP slot.
A lot of plot lines are starting to come together in this Political Drama that just seems to be heating up.
Until next time,
Stay healthy, happy and free!
