Today’s word of the day is indignation.

Nouns are words that we use to name things. It can be a person, a place, a thing, an
idea or concept. Therefore, indignation is a noun.

Indignation is anger or annoyance provoked by treatment that is perceived as unfair.

An example of indignation used as a noun in a sentence would be:

His words filled her with indignation, she asked him to leave immediately.

Or, There was a sense of indignation in the way she was talking to them but they weren't sure why.

Synonyms: resentment, umbrage, affront, distress, anger.

Antonyms: contentment, delight, pleasure, satisfaction, gratification.
