Listen "It's About the Weight Off Your Shoulders with: Calvin Tedesco"
Episode Synopsis
Resiliency is the answer to the test when adversity strikes. It
provides you the answers to the test whether your blood and your circumstances are
thin or thick. No one knows this better than my friend Calvin Tedesco.
“I’m a full-time personal trainer and online coach,
I’ve been voted as one of the tops in my community. I have a degree in
Kinesiology, and a unique story of overcoming hardship
Before I started my
fitness journey, I grew up around drug addictions, crime, and violence in the
Whalley area of Surrey, BC. My parents were addicts and my older brother was
killed.
I was 16 years old
when I decided to change my life for good … I had already been arrested many
times, most notably for stabbing, drug possession, and robbery
My fitness journey
started in the youth detention centre when I was 15 and has lasted over a
decade - about 13 years in the making
My story of
overcoming involved moving hundreds of miles away from my friends and family at
age 17 to pursue fitness & higher education wholeheartedly. My level of
commitment is unmatched and the principles that got me to where I am today are
the ones I teach in my coaching programs and through social media
Today I live in
Chilliwack BC, where I run a coaching business called Train or Die. I teach men
& women how to become strong & fit while taking back control of their
lives
I’m here to give
back by sharing my story for others to learn from, as well as my extensive
background in health & fitness which is my life’s work. “ He joined
me this week to tell me more.
