Listen "Helping Women Find a Balanced Approach to Success with: Vivian Gray"
Episode Synopsis
Are women undervalued in the workplace? If you listen to Forbes the answer is unfortunately yes. The researchers assessed the career records of around 30,000 employees and found that women were 14% less likely to be promoted than men. When they explored why this was, it emerged that the leadership potential of female employees was consistently under-valued compared to men. For Vivian Gray she is on a mission to help women achieve success by leveraging their Divine Feminine and Masculine. “I have coached, taught, and mentored women for over 20 years, in my corporate role and other business functions. I have had the privilege of helping women achieve personal growth and meet their career, financial, health, and wellness goals. I’ve been collaborating with women on their success journey in my studio for the last five years, helping hundreds of women to tap into their femininity and self-confidence to create transformation in all aspects of their lives.” “As a young, single mother, I joined the Army to create a better life for my daughter. Injuring my back, I left the Army to try to find another career that allowed me to flourish. For most of my life, I've worked in male-dominated industries or roles. I learned how to work hard, navigate the business landscape, and climb the corporate ladder from the bottom. I believed to achieve success, I had to sacrifice my personal wants and time with the people I loved. I thought I had to be hard, show no “weakness”, and protect myself regardless of the cost.
At 40 years old, I took a step back to evaluate who I was and found I didn't really know and what I did know I didn’t like. I was tired. I had lost connection to the people I loved. I had shielded my emotions for so long it was difficult to tap into them. My health was poor, and I didn’t know exactly how I got there.”
She joined me this week to tell me more.
