If God is just and punishes sin, where is His wrath and justice against sin? The world sins and goes on about their lives. The answer to this question is found in the first verse of our passage this week. Romans 1:18 says, “The wrath of God IS revealed from heaven….” This means, any culture that rejects the Word of God by which they must be saved will experience the wrath of God. God will give them over to their sinful desires. He will take away the restraints allowing them to indulge in all kinds of indecency, immorality and violence. That culture will become like the days of Noah. Where is the wrath of God on our culture? We are going through it right now. These next few weeks in Romans will not paint a pretty picture. That picture will look a lot like the days in which we live, and that is the wrath of God. Just as the righteousness of God is revealed from heaven, the wrath of God is revealed from heaven, and man is without excuse. I pray you will join us this weekend as we continue in Romans. These are critical passages to understanding the world in which we live, our conflict with sin and our need of the gospel. Invite a friend, a colleague or a neighbor as we look to the God who has made Himself evident and points us to the only means of salvation in His Son, Jesus Christ.
