Listen "Holy God, Personal Savior"
Episode Synopsis
God is both transcendent and immanent. The transcendence of God means that God is above, completely other than and independent from creation. God is infinite, sovereign and unchanging. God needs nothing, depends on nothing and owes nothing. He is “holy, holy, holy.”
God is also immanent. The immanence of God means that God sustains, is involved with, and present within His creation. Sometimes these truths about God are pitted against each other. For some, they think God is sovereign over all but not loving. For others, God is loving, but He is not sovereign. The Bible teaches us that He is both. This is the wonder and the beauty of the God we serve. God dwells in eternity and yet feels at home among the lowly. God is seated on high but cares for us and knows us by name. This is the nature of David’s song in 2 Samuel 22. God is almighty. He is all-powerful. He cares about me, and as I seek Him, He can lift me up and use me in ways that I never thought possible. I pray this weekend you will join us for worship in one of our services at one of our locations. I know your heart will be encouraged in our worship and our study of His Word. Let’s gather and worship our God. There is no one like Him. He is worthy of all our praise!
