Maren has a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and currently helps organizations understand the intimate connection between innovation and contextual social emotions.   Growing up in Finland among forests and paper mills, she developed an early interest in how things are made and how they work.  Her formative career experiences included early management roles in corporate and industrial settings, and Maren was the first woman on the executive committee of a large manufacturing organization.  While raising a family, she became an “accidental homeschooler” for 6 years, which led to an abiding interest in learning in all its forms.
