It seems odd to discuss the sin of complaining, when in just a few days we will gather with family and friends around the dinner table to eat, count our blessings and give thanks. But in this country we are known more for our grumbling than our gratitude. In Numbers 11 we read a convicting story about how seriously God hates a grumbling, unthankful spirit. Moses heard a campaign of complaining as he led the Israelites towards the Promised Land. The lessons in this passage will teach us a lot about being thankful and biting our tongue next time we want to complain.
