In this episode, we were joined by Shruti Rijhwani, a Research Scientist at Google and recent Ph.D. graduate from Carnegie Mellon University. Shruti's thesis focused on improving optical character recognition for endangered languages, and she shared her work on this topic with us.Shruti's broad research interests lie in improving language technologies for under-represented languages and communities.
