Episode Synopsis
Someone fired nine shots at a woman's car in Kingsessing early Thursday morning. It happened around 1 a.m. on Greenway Avenue, near 51st Street.
The woman was on her way to visit family on the block. When the gunshots rang out, she drove about half a block away and told her family what happened.
Chief Inspector Scott Small says the woman thought she had been shot, but she was only injured by shattered glass. She's in stable condition. There are at least three bullet holes in the driver-side door of the woman's Chevy sedan.
Police say they don't have a description of the shooter or shooters, and they don't know whether they were on foot or in another car. Investigators are reviewing surveillance video.
