Listen "Amazon debuts 30-minute delivery service in Philly"
Episode Synopsis
Do you live in the city and need that Amazon package right away? How about a half-hour?
Amazon is promising deliveries in 30 minutes or less for customers in Philadelphia.
It's a service called Amazon Now, and it's debuting in Philly and Seattle.
When customers place an order for groceries, household items, or electronics, they can check the navigation bar for a 30-minute delivery option.
Amazon Prime members will pay a $3.99 delivery fee per order, while non-members will pay $13.99.
Amazon says it's working with smaller, specialized facilities here in Philadelphia, allowing for faster delivery times.
Customers can track their orders and tip their delivery drivers if they want to.
